1/ Let me tell you about the most San Francisco thing I've ever seen.
A few days ago, private cars lost access to Market St., so now it's only buses & bikes. I walked out of our office and felt that Market St was a little emptier, a little friendlier feeling.

2/ I look across the street, and see a food truck, and a line of happy SF residents waiting in line for some Korean BBQ. Then I notice they're all looking at something, and my eyes travel towards a curious thing.
3/ A homeless guy has built up a pile of bike tires - not the wheels, just the tires - and is throwing them up at a lamppost, playing ring toss in front of an audience.
He gets the first half-dozen tires up there on the first try, but the last one takes a while.

4/ He fails again and again, but he perseveres, and everyone is watching him, and finally after numerous attempts, he gets the last bike tire onto the lamp post.

5/ Epilogue: I walk by there today, look up, tires still up there.
