Hey @MSNBC/@HallieJackson—could you please remove from your chyron the numeric placements beside each candidate's name? No one has ANY delegates; Biden looks to have finished fourth/fifth in Iowa based on the data we DO have; and you have a "1" next to Biden saying he's in first.
@MSNBC @HallieJackson PS/ Generally speaking, media has had a bad 24 hours. I heard @RonBrownstein say on CNN that Sanders could struggle post-NH because he has a problem with "Latino and black voters." Sanders has been *first* among Latino voters for months. So I don't know what the heck is going on.
@MSNBC @HallieJackson @RonBrownstein PS2/ Media—like the IDP—is doing its best. But there's a narrative building that may be *unfair* but you can at least see where it comes from: the DNC aims to boost Biden and hurt progressives. So—e.g.—CNN running Biden's whole speech and cutting Warren's off is really unhelpful.

What there *is* is an unspoken assumption Biden is the "frontrunner" because he leads in irrelevant national polls, and because a series of events have aided him: including the collapse of the DES MOINES REGISTER poll and the collapse of the caucus.
@MSNBC @HallieJackson @RonBrownstein PS4/ Between Biden inexplicably getting star treatment post-caucus; escaping a DMR poll that would've hurt him; escaping caucus results that would've hurt him; and being listed as first—wrongly—today on MSNBC, media is risking damaging viewer confidence. I hope it will do better.
