Humans are perpetually dissatisfied. As we obtain more of what we want, we grow thirstier, more attached, and hardly content.
This is something I'm observing in my own life.
It’s a never-ending chase.
You might say that you want financial freedom, a job you love, a caring spouse, a nice house...
But in asking that, what I’m really asking you to do is to get out of your head and observe yourself objectively.
But in truth, you can begin to feel this way right now.
Everything you’ve ever wanted is available to you right now.
This is one of the most impactful things I learned during my short time as a Buddhist monk.
But, if you can live your life with greater awareness, you’ll rise above mindless urges that aren’t that important (and fulfilling) in the grand scheme of things.
By doing that, you’ll alter your life in a significant way.
• To relearn to be content with what I already have
• To cut back on the noise
• To focus on the essential
•To relinquish the mindless cravings that don’t add anything worthwhile to my life
•To come back to a state of greater wisdom.
