1. Romney votes against Constitution with his vote today to remove a sitting president.  The media and Democrats are quick to celebrate their only Republican vote.  Some outlets seem to have known in advance.  Imagine that.  Endless softball interviews will follow.
2. Romney believes history will judge him as a courageous lone voice. It won’t. He’ll be seen for what he is: a petty, self-promoting, NeverTrumper who has contributed to the Radical Democrats’ assault on the Constitution.
3. While he’ll receive nonstop praise from the usual members of the unfree press, his vote is unprincipled despite his references to his faith.  Shameful.
There will be plenty of time to further elaborate in the days and weeks ahead.

1. As I’ve been saying, this Obama judge, Amy Berman Jackson, has demonstrated time and again she should not be handling cases involving the president’s past associates.  She’s not capable of impartial justice.
2. Most other judges handling this case would’ve been appalled by the conduct of the jury foreman and immediately undertaken an investigation of what transpired in her own courtroom.
3. But Jackson plows ahead, indicating her desire to throw the book at Stone. This is the same judge who put Paul Manafort in solitary confinement.

1. Will tonight’s debate moderators confront Bernie Sanders on the anti-Semitic surrogates who surround him, like Tlaib, Sarsour, Omar, et al, his affection for Corbyn, and much more?  It’s all out there.  It’s not hidden.
2. And if they do, will they let Sanders slide by with his usual references to having worked on a kibbutz and his Jewish heritage?  He wants to be president and he and his positions and associations should be taken very seriously — and scrutinized.
3. I know there’s an intimidation campaign led by Media Matters, Mediaite, and others to prevent inquiries, including threatening advertisers and misleading allegations against those who dare to speak up, but this issue is too important to shy away from.

1. Dummy Ken Meyer back at Mediate, taking dictation from Media Matters.  We used to call that plagiarism. Rather than eat the spoon fed drivel of Dumb Kenny, I’ve a better idea.  Go back and listen to all I actually said.  It’s always posted in full at marklevinshow.com
2. Now, Dumb Kenny makes no effort to actually discuss what I said, or provide the list of infamous anti-Semites with whom Sanders surrounds himself and the vile things they’ve said.  Nor the things Sanders has said throughout his Marxist career.  He provides none of it.
3. Neither did Media Matters. Why?  Because they stand with Sanders and the bigots who stand with him.  They don’t challenge Sanders. They’re propagandists who censor and omit to create a narrative.  I’ll continue to expose Sanders and I’ll continue to invite him on radio and TV

1/ I’ll say at the outset that the whistleblower case is exactly what the drafters of the Constitution had in mind for an offense worth of impeachment and removal.

It’s also similar to other behavior we’ve seen from Trump.

It’s not a one-off.
2/ Evidently one of the phone calls occurred a day after Mueller testified.

I take it that Trump felt confident that he had enough allies who he viewed as loyal enough to protect him.
He was thus emboldened.

Remember, Trump demands and rewards loyalty.

I see a disconnect between what Pelosi actually says and what people say that she says.

To stay grounded in facts, I’ll look at Pelosi’s exact words. No paraphrases or summaries.

1/ Here's what she said on May 31.

The meat starts at the 1:30 minute mark.

Kimmel pointed out that Mueller handed the matter to Congress. He asked if Congress is taking up the task.

Pelosi: “We’ve been on that path for a while . . .
2/ . . . and when we do get to where we’re going, we are going to be ready.”

Kimmel: “It feels like we’ve been on the path for a really long time.”

Pelosi: “You have to remember we’ve only had the majority since this year, and for the first month government was shut down.”

People are frustrated that Trump and pals aren't deterred by the threat of subpoenas.

I have some bad news: You can expect lots more Trump-GOP lawbreaking before this is over.

3 things are happening at once. . .
1/ Happening at once:

💠Trump and friends openly break laws;
💠 The Trump-FOX GOP pretend it isn’t happening; and
💠The Trump-FOX-GOP accuse Democrats of made-up crimes. (This started decades ago with Whitewater and is happening now with the FISA-warrant made-up scandal.)
2/ We’re in for more Trump-GOP lawbreaking, I’m afraid.

Look, Trump’s supporters know he is a law breaker.
Many voted for him BECAUSE he is a law breaker.

He ran on a promise to destroy the political establishment. What do you think that means? They love that he defies "norms."

This view has some odd consequences, because our natural intuition tells us that if a person is guilty, he or she should be indictable.

The intuition goes something like this: 2/28
In a legal system, a person is guilty if and only if a law has been violated (the law must be specified), and a person can be charged for a crime only if the government can produce sufficient evidence to show that the person committed that crime. 3/28

Quick thoughts on Mueller report

1/ No more indictments = good new for White House. All that talk of other members of Trump world getting hit by Mueller is done.
2/ A massive row with Congress is coming. Democrats will want the underlying evidence sitting below the report. Whatever Attorney General hands over is unlikely to be enough.
3/ This Is Not The End. While Mueller is done, other federal prosecutors continue to investigate. NY looking at hush money payments, insurance schemes. Those lines of inquiry are independent of Mueller.
