HAL has successfully completed IOC for #LUH. HAL is all poised for production. Had the orders bn given by MoD 2yrs in advance, HAL would hv set up assy line by now & we would hv seen LUH getting inducted rightaway. The ancient looking Cheetah helis needed
Replacement like a decade ago. But MoD not only sat on orders for LUH, but it also didn't bother to oder Ka226. So currently we have neither and our Air Worriers are still having to endanger their lives flying those ancient machines.

And now when #LUH is all ready for production and could be inducted starting 3yrs from now if @PMOIndia @rajnathsingh lean on the babudom and HAL management to rush thru the contract process, GOI is trying to import Ka226, which itself will only come in 2025, and that too
"If everything goes according to plan" which never happens in case of MoD. Meanwhile LUH orders will also be put thru tedious processes like LCA Mk1A is being put thru and will be delayed. And this when we have the best Govt that India has ever seen from Defense perspective.
@PMOIndia and the RM @rajnathsingh has all the power they need and a very strong mandate. Why cannot they push for faster contract process for Desi programs at least. I mean, the Forces, all babus, HAL, Mantris all are part of GOI. Its in entirety in-house matter for the MoD. The
Money is going from GOI's one pocket to another. Why can't all the stakeholders seat together in a series of meetings, sort out all the matters in a couple of months and clear orders for LCA Mk1A, LCH, LUH which have no big technical issues holding the production now?

Mere screwdrivergiri work under #MakeInIndia is not enough. The only sure-shot way to achieve defense production and export targets set for 2025 and greater strategic autonomy is to give orders for desi programs like LUH, LCH, LCA, Arjun, Astra, ATAGS et al.
