As the world is battling with Coronavirus infections, the sci-checkers + fact-checkers at Alt News, India are battling with misinformation on 2019-nCoV. Despite, the low mortality rate of the current CoV epidemic, it can be much more dangerous in the age of social media. Read on!
Here, I compared the differences between the current novel CoV epidemic as opposed to the SARS & MERS CoV epidemics. Yes, they were much more fatal but we didn't have irresponsible false advices for protection & treatment.

China culled 18,000 chickens due to H5N1 avian flu, and not the Coronavirus infection (2019-nCoV). While thoroughly cooked chicken is safe for consumption, H5N1infectioms are mostly due to improper handling of chicken before cooking. @AltNewsScience

Since the Pulwama episode, the level of contempt for an ordinary person with a muslim identity has been spiked (in addition to KMs'). I had seen this post Gujarat 2002 where every interaction with another non-muslim was based on the initial cognizance of Muslim identity. 1/
Despite that I, like many others, have rarely worn my religion on the sleeve, have limited myself to scientific opinions, or even criticised some cultural aspects of islam- trolls on SM have been at it. Which were greatly reduced in general before the attack. 2/
Today, my one of school WhatsApp (which is knew most since nursery) group ganged up against me & abused for my writings on pseudoscience in India. Not the first time someone has disagreed in a group, but the first time someone used that language.3/

First check to see if they bothered to add any variability whatsoever in the model they are using to supposedly report actual numbers from a complex system.

The mortality rate they want you to report is the - 0 day rate: Today's Confirmed Death total minus Today's Confirmed Case total.

This has not varied outside of 1/10th of 1% in the last 5 prints.

👉🏼More total cases of #2019nCoV than SARS
👉🏼Rate of new cases is accelerating
👉🏼Spreads more easily & is more deadly than seasonal flu
👉🏼Unlike #influenza, NO treatments or #vaccine

Although seasonal #influenza causes far more deaths than the new #coronavirus has (thus far), #2019nCoV appears to spread more readily from person-to-person + appears to be more deadly (higher mortality rate in those infected) = VERY bad.

A major challenge is that the ability of #2019nCoV to spread (R0) and the mortality rate (% infected who die) are not confirmed, because it’s highly likely that there are FAR MORE cases of #coronavirus than reported.

Some don’t see a doctor, lack of testing, poor reporting...

The proposal for manufacturing 72 more fighter jets to add to the current order for 272 was made by the HAL but officials said that the air force has not been keen due to budgetary issues.
HAL is hopeful that an order for at least 10 additional aircraft is placed this year so that its Sukhoi manufacturing plant in Nasik does not fall idle.
