I spoke to Ayanna Griffin’s father at the Fairfax Blvd @jimmyjohns where his daughter worked. He spent the day collecting her items, including a pair of shoes left at JJ. Said it was emotional to see a ‘Gravity Falls’ drawing Ayanna left behind bc they watched the show together. ImageImageImage
George Maertens, Ayanna’s father, told me he doesn’t know the suspect arrested & that Joel’s family doesn’t either.
VA court records say 18yo Mohamed Aly is due in court on Tuesday, Feb 18.
