Folks, I’m not gonna lie: I am seriously disturbed by those of you defending that man who repeatedly punched the back of that woman’s seat. The blatant condoning of male rage and entitlement while women are shamed for asserting their space is disgusting. Do some soul searching.
And no, for me, this isn’t about seat etiquette. I ask if I can move my seat back, and if someone asks me to move it up, I oblige them. His overreaction was way out of line and the airline personnel were atrocious in how they handled it.
Gonna amend my first tweet to say “white male rage” — hard for me to imagine a man of color doing this on an airline given the potential consequences if things go very bad.
