Chiseling out some aggressively trans-positive space on the timeline because let's face it, it's brutal out there right now.
And we cannot smile and hug each other and self-affirm our way out of brutal oppression and erasure and being used as a bludgeon by homophobic misogynists who claim to be standing up for Women And Gays by using us to launder all their bigotries.

But we still need love and hope.
I would say we deserve love and hope, but that's not even a question. Love isn't something that is deserved or not. We don't "deserve" it any more than we "deserve" rights or existence. We exist, therefore we are imbued with rights. We exist, therefore we love and are loved.
Think about how much energy transphobes put into denying us love, specifically. How much of themselves they invest in spreading and promoting the idea that we are not ourselves loving beings, that we do not deserve love, that we are dangerous to love.
They attack people who love us for loving us. They attack us not just for looking for love but for finding us. They try to exclude us from human society, deny us human companionship... not their companionship, which we don't want, but *any* human companionship.
If you're cis and want to know what you can do, please check the #TransCrowdFund tag. You can boost if you can't donate. A lot of people in our communities are living on the edge, and it's hard to cope with the double whammy of financial hardship and political/media assault.
And if I'm honest, one of the reasons I'm flogging my own projects harder is that life is expensive right now for my trans family, too. We've had to order groceries three times in the last month. So if you want to throw something extra in my tip jar...paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr…
Anyway, love and hope to all my trans siblings in the world. We are amazing and powerful and beautiful and we aren't going anywhere.
