Quick thread about @BernieSanders and his medical records, given that at last night's CNN town hall on Tuesday night, asked if he would release any additional medical record, Sanders -- who had a heart attack last October -- said "I don’t think we will, no.”
2/ After his heart attack, Sanders, 78, told AP that when it came to release of his medical records "I want to make it comprehensive."

3/ Sanders also told our @drsanjaygupta:

"People do have a right to know about the health of a senator and somebody who is running for president of the United States, full disclosure....
4/ "...And we will make, at the appropriate time, all of our medical records public for you or anybody else who wants to see them...we will release all the records."

5/ "Comprehensive"... "full disclosure"..."all of our medical records"...."we will release all the records."

That not happened.

Instead, Sanders *has* done what other candidates have done, releasing letters from doctors.

6/ So what does @drsanjaygupta think?

Sanjay tells me: "While it is true that Senator Sanders has not released all of his medical records, the three letters do provide the relevant medical information about his overall health, and important details about his heart. ...
7/ "...After a heart attack, the biggest question is the function of the heart, which is described for Senator Sanders as being above average for men his age. He does not appear to have any symptoms that took him to the hospital in the first place," Sanjay continues...
8/"...These summarized letters are often and typically used as important tools of communication between doctors," Sanjay says.
9/ And lest we forget the current campaign gold standard on this matter:
