If you have a 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560, get a couple of senior citizens and see if they're able to climb into the back seat from the front.

Of course, it might be easier to get back there if you're submerged and can float, but....
That said, I wonder if Mercedes Remote Parking Assist, available on the S560, can be activated when people are already in the vehicle?

Does the app confirm that there is road in front of the vehicle using maps, visual signal, or just an absence of obstructions via sensors?
Will it accelerate hard enough to drive over chocks under the wheels, so long as no obstacles are detected by sensors in front of the vehicle? @MercedesBenz

That said, I do believe that there should be an internal "interview" process before anyone is permitted to associate themselves with the party identity on a ballot:

Consider a party as a brand, and the party can ensure you meet set standards as a brand representative.
Namely, you shouldn't be allowed to run for a party's nomination without having been a registered member of the party for n years.

And not saying only leadership should be involved in these decisions - voters registered as party members for n years should have a say.

One thing I've found very curious in popular discourse around language in India is that language contact is reduced to the process of loaning words; this incredibly fascinating linguistic phenomenon is reduced to its lexical aspect. This ends up obscuring all the amazing stuff
that language contact makes possible, these perspectives it offers us. Lexical borrowing is probably the least interesting form it takes, it's also the most superficial in many ways. Doesn't take much for a literary register to borrow vocab from a prestige language - the vast
volume of English words that have made it to Indian languages is a great example.

People borrow words all the time, sure, but imagine influenced by a language so much you start modeling your own *grammar* and sound systems after it. Way cooler than just borrowing words right?

Wonderful interview with @sidsriram, by @baradwajrangan bit.ly/2AXD6Tq To hear Sid speak repeatedly about Rahman's attention to detail, and explain it with so many nuances was incredible. I loved going back to the 3 songs they were speaking about, and observe what 1/3
2/3 Sid was saying, to compare it with the final output. But yes, at some level, I wished the interview was about Sid Sriram the singer more than Rahman, and that they had expanded on Sid's other famous songs like Inkem Inkem from Geetha Govindam & Maate Vinadhuga from Taxiwaala.
3/3 And on Rahman's cue for Sid for Ennodu Nee Irundhaal from Shankar's 'I'... Meatloaf! Meatloaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love" was a way too direct inspiration even for Shankar, for the song picturization :)
