Just had a maddening, yet civilized face to face conversation w/59 white female Trump supporter whose only news source is Fox. Because I don't have a degree in deprogramming, all I can say is that the brainwashing is legit BUT she agreed to watch other channels. She says as a
white, lower middle class American she felt left behind and felt that illegal immigrants get treated better in the US than she has. She thinks the border is closed for good and thinks Trump will "get around" to helping her ilk 'eventually.' Interestingly, she loved Bill Clinton.
She watched the Dem debate and liked @PeteButtigieg, but thinks he is being funded by George Soros. She is mad about money Obama gave to Iran. I attempted correction at every Fox/#TurdReich lie she spewed but was met with, "maybe you need to watch more Fox News." Hopeless-sort of
She likes Bloomberg but says if he starts sounding "phony" she's out. When I pointed out Trump was the quintessence of phony, with over 16K lies, she said, no, he repeats the same thing over and over and sticks to it. Scary, right? I pray there are more sane folk than Fox viewers
