The obvious conclusion: why did SSA 1 not consider it a major red flag that Steele was apparently relying on someone the FBI had a counterintelligence case open on for many of the dossier's allegations?🤔
Okay let's go prove that Pientka knew about Person 1, knew about an open CI case against Person 1, and knew that Person 1 was key dossier source, all by Dec 2016 (at the latest) 👇

—The FBI learnt about this *no later than early Oct 2016*

This means the FBI knew that Person 1/Millian - who they had an open counterintel case open on - was reaching out to the person who supposedly sparked the opening of Crossfire Hurricane, who they were ALSO investigating
And then FBI learned Person 1 was a key source for Steele!

Despite all of this potential and actual "connectivity" (IG Horowitz's term) between *all* of the players in the case, Pientka made no effort to resolve these discrepancies and none of them were notified to the FISA Court
