ONI: Grrrrrr. Once again, my o2 cooling rig has a bug. This time, it is precisely the one I got online, the moral equivalent of a stack overflow code snippet. But it does not in fact work correctly. Sooner or later, it will let an already-cold ph2o get frozen, breaking its pipe.
Man, I was so so careful this time. How incredibly annoying, especially when the rest of it was going pretty well. <sigh> Oh well.
The key failure: an inline temp sensor that is 3 tiles away from the aquatuner intake, instead of exactly 1 tile away. The annoying part: my save at c102 is at least a dozen days too early, so I have to rebuild the whole rig, when in fact it's just a two-tile design difference.
Oh, wait. Oh, yayyyyyy! I had the sense to save at c130, just as that rig was powering up. Now I can crack it open, fix it, and try again.
Yech. It'd be easier to rebuild from 102. We're back to <sigh>.
I'm tempted to just take a new seed. I've played this one a lot, and at some point I feel like I'm cheating.
New ideas: build the power spine earler, use multiple banks of exosuits instead of one, try an early drecko farm for faster plastic. Ideas from this run: hot o2 works fine in exosuits. The gas ring worked great. Metal refineries *early*., Screw 20 dupes, take 16.
