A thread about a changing tide. It was a joy to read this by @kmckenna63 who increasingly seems to represent the 'soul' of the Indy movement. His references to the SNP's LGBT lobby as "the scarecrow wing" and a "wrecking crew of juvenile delinquents" can only bode well.
2./ Is that the sound of a tide turning? If I was one of the entitled, lavishly funded LGBT groups that's kept alive by their friends in high places in the Scottish government I'd be worried. Wouldn't you? Could their reign of error be close to ending? We can but hope so.
3./ I've no party affiliation myself but it can only be good for democracy when any party shakes off an unscientific delusion that closes down debate and leads to crazed misogynistic behavior. The SNP may be on the way to waking up from its strange 'gender identity' fantasy.
4./ The Tories too appear to have done much the same and have kicked the nonsense of Gender Recognition Reform in England into the long grass (hopefully never to be found). And what a gift the self-sabotage of Labour candidates for the leadership has been.
5./ It shocked thousands of party members, waking many up to the insane place that the Party's stance on 'gender identity' is taking them. Yes, a place where male child rapists are recorded as women..because they say they are.
6./ The Lib Dems still have a way to go but the Greens will have to wait until their own gender guru @patrickharvie admits to having been joking all along. "What, you thought I believed that nonsense? C'mon who could possibly do that?" he'll opine as he's finally booted out.
7./ Of course those who haven't actually given the subject a minute's thought such as say @frankieboyle have weighed in with their view that any attempt to stop the march of this madness is a sign of Scottish provincialism.
8./ Yep Frankie says sending a 21 year old drag queen whose public timeline is full of open misogyny into a primary school is progressive. Not bothering to tell them there are rules about safeguarding so that the kids' pics end up on that same timeline was progressive too?
9./ Yeah that's right, in between the posts about BDSM and choking to orgasm. Danny La Rue was apparently doing the same thing 40 years ago. The same idiots who defend the drag queen mess are at the heart of the Gender Recognition Reform battle. And the issues are much the same.
10./ Both the GR Reform and drag queens teaching kids they might be born in the wrong body are resolutely opposed by lesbians and gays in @AllianceLGB and women in the likes of @ForwomenScot. But hey what would we know about our rights?

12./ Scotland is the first country in the world to have a serious debate about the promotion of the notion of 'gender identity' and how it undermines the rights of LGB people and women, and endangers the wellbeing of children. Puberty blockers- so progressive!
13/. And there would be nothing more provincial, more like the age-old Scottish cringe, than agreeing to go along with something you know is utter garbage because some grandstanding celebrity tells you that you're embarrassing him and his "sophisticated" unprovincial friends.
