The biggest story of the violence in Delhi is internal migration of Muslims within the city. There are relief camps with thousands of displaced people in different parts of north east Delhi.
The scariest thing is we have reached a point where there is no return to normal. An entire population was provoked into rebellion and then violence with the aim of economically destroying the population was unleashed. There is no returning to normal from here.
Physical and emotional walls have come up in mixed population neighborhoods. There is no return to normal from here because the victims know who among their neighbours helped the rioters. This distrust will be very difficult to and will take a long time overcome.
A different way of putting this is: thousands of families have been economically ruined and their existence uprooted. They fear their neighbours for their lives. All this, while they were fighting for their rights. There is nothing left to return to normal.
