I support Warren, and I do want revolution.

I want M4A, the Green New Deal, reformed tax code, all of it.

But Bernie’s results in SC and Super Tuesday and the odd response messaging do not give me confidence he can expand his base.

Please prove me wrong on Tuesday.

Win Michigan heads up against Biden. Leave no doubt. Make it clear. It’s so simple: the ideas are fantastic, but are the people there? That’s what I want. Because if we can’t even convince voters into a coalition in the primary, what are we doing in the general?
I’m not kidding. Let Sanders thump Biden in Michigan—an iconic swing state—and give us hope he’s got the muscle to pull this off. Straightforward, no bullshit.

At the start of 2019, Elizabeth Warren prioritized outreach to the trans community. And they didn't just talk to so many of us. They asked questions. They listened. They invited guidance on policy and outreach. Simply put: they cared about us. Today, I am heartbroken. (1/5)
Warren has been, by far, the smartest and most prepared candidate past Iowa and beyond. In a primary season that saw several brilliant and empathetic candidates drop out before Iowa--Harris, Castro, Booker--Warren remained a glimmer hope for so many of us who felt unseen.
I am heartbroken that the best leader for our country--the one who actually listened to experts and did amazing outreach to marginalized communities and used all of that to construct incredible policy plans--didn't get traction because she's a woman who refuses to reject nuance.

It was April 15, 2009, and I was watching The Daily Show (then hosted by Jon Stewart) along with everyone else who needed a dose of sanity in the early days of the Obama White House and GOP reactionary panic. His guest that night was a little-known Harvard Law professor. (thread)
The professor was Elizabeth Warren, at the time one of the three most cited scholars in bankruptcy and commercial law and the only tenured member of Harvard Law's faculty to have been taught a public law school and not really known to the larger public.
She was also Chair of the recently created Congressional Oversight Panel created to monitor and advise on the government's response to the 2008 Great Recession, including TARP, which is why she was there that night: to explain to folks what was going on and what was needed.

#NEW from me: What would happen if the Democrats instituted a national primary using ranked-choice voting? I got the data from @YouGovUS and crunched the numbers:

@YouGovUS We had YouGov ask over 2,000 Democratic voters to rank all the 2020 candidates over the past month. We used those responses to simulate ranked-choice voting in the primary.

How does RCV work, you ask? Just a reminder....
@YouGovUS 0. Count up all the ballots
1. Did someone win a majority of the vote? If yes, they win. If not....
2. Anyone who listed the last-place candidate gets their votes redistributed to their next-ranked option.
3. Re-tally the votes and repeat 1-2 until someone gets a majority.
