NEW: Elizabeth Warren has dropped out of the race. Of two dozen candidates, only two are left, two seputegarians with a combined age of 155. One who Hillary beat, the other who Hillary scared off. Each, with a wing of the party behind it.
Ah! Turns out Tulsi Gabbard is still in the race. Still time for a late surge...
Either way, Warren now has a big card to play. Her endorsement might seal the deal for Biden or unite the left as the centre has been, preparing the way for a slog of a contest. All with a VP slot potentially in play...

Trump says he’s going to be meeting with Mitch McConnell and Republican congressional leadership tomorrow re economic measures on coronavirus. Says they’re going to talk about a potential payroll tax cut.

All economy no virological yet...
Trump on the economic effects of coronavirus: “some places will do well. Other places will do not so well.”
Trump said nothing about how the federal government intends to deal with the virus, only its economic effects.

BREAKING: Italian PM Giuseppe Conte announces that the lockdown area will be extended to the whole of Italy, not just the most severely affected areas of the north. Unprecedented measures, in peacetime.
Conte says that all travel in Italy is banned unless strictly necessary. All public gatherings throughout the country is now prohibited.
Serie A matches postponed until further notices. No sporting events of any kind.

NEW: I sat down with Elizabeth Warren in her kitchen this afternoon, for her first interview since exiting the presidential race. On Sanders and Biden:

"I think I would have made a better president than either one of them, that’s why I was running!"
When I spoke with @ewarren earlier today, she was defiant at the idea that she is obligated to support either Sanders or Biden.

"Why would I owe anybody an endorsement?" she said. "Is that a question they asked everybody else who dropped out of this race?"
I asked @ewarren how running for president had changed her.

"There’s just a hundred ways that I’m smarter and tougher now," she said.

A source familiar with the matter tells me that Senator Elizabeth Warren is jumping on a call with her campaign staff in about 30 minutes.

2. News: Elizabeth Warren is dropping out of the race per two sources.
3. The NYT is reporting that Warren doesn't plan on endorsing when she speaks to the press later today. I'm not surprised, I've been told that IF she endorses it'll be after a serious political/policy discussion and negotiation with Biden and Sanders.

#New PA cong. map increases D chance of winning the House majority by 4%. They only need a 6.8% generic ballot margin now (down from 7.7) to be favored.

Diff. will be closer to 10% in Nov when uncertainty from polls is ⬇️. Redraw is a very big deal.

One major reason the new PA map is such a big gain for Democrats is that it solidifies, not just tips, PA districts in Philly burbs. Also creates one additional vulnerable R district. (Easily seen in this map made by @JMilesColeman)
My forecasting model will have new PA map in the near future. This is not just a simple switch; it’s a coding redesign, restructuring of input, & drawing new geographic files. Takes a while (for me, a student).
