Thinking about canvassing for Bernie vs Biden. Specifically what arguments I would be able to make for, and what arguments I would have to defend against with each of them.
I have a lot more concerns about Biden in this regard.

I do not know how to defend much of Biden's voting record.
This is especially true w/NAFTA. Lots of voters in swing states didn't vote for Clinton because they won't forget that fact.
I don't know how to tell them not to be mad about that.

I do not know how to defend against the fact that he has consistently, and increasingly demonstrated incoherence and cognitive impairment on the campaign trail and in debates.

The fact that the media ignores that this is happening when everyone w/o partisan blinders on can see it is BAD. I don't care if Trump is as impaired, dueling ads from Biden & Trump about whose brain is in a further state of decline will not do much to inspire the voters.

The best case I have for Biden is a return to the status quo. The problem with large swaths of Americans (especially ones who don't participate in primaries), is that the status quo is killing them, and has been long before Trump.

When it comes to Bernie, I am up to the task of defending any fear-mongering about "socialism". The word has damn near lost all meaning due to the GOP being the "Boys who Cried Socialism" at every damn thing.

Healthcare is a human right.
We need bold action on climate change.
People should not be buried under debt because they got sick or tried to improve themselves with a college education.

They only seem so because defenders of the status quo are so obstinately resistant to the popular desire for substantive change.
