1/ As I wrote below, the problem of Literalists - those who can't see the forest for the trees - is seen especially in causes that are structural. Structure is naturally visible to some of us and maybe it can be trained for others. I hope.

2/ To the solipsistic Literalists, structure doesn't really exist (except for those which immediately affects them). But structure is as real as any other cause, even though it's indirect and invisible to the untrained eye
3/ That Senator Warren faced misogyny is undeniable to anyone who can recognize structural causes. Yes, she had flaws as a candidate, but would those have derailed a man? Hard to make that claim when the 3 current candidates are all incredibly flawed men
4/ The emotional reaction many of us are having to Warren dropping out is a conscious or subconscious recognition that in 2020 the structural forces that keep women out of POTUS defeated us again

It's not just the overt sexism ('shrill') but the impossible std. that was demanded
5/ I felt the combination of her fierceness and optimism could finally manage the razor's edge women need to balance. Nope

I guess this is why I harbor such ire for the Sanders candidacy. How is a 78 yr old heart-attack survivor w/ a meager leg. record better than Warren?
6/ If you can't see the structural misogyny, then please don't get angry at me - or even the notion - until you look deeper into it. I don't blame people for un-knowledge (it's not even ignorance) but I can blame for a refusal of self-review
7/ Note, there are real non-misogynistic reasons to support Sanders over Warren: he called for a more radical overhaul; she was still a capitalist, his message is revolution, and there are people who actively want that

My point is to examine all causes, internal & external
Bradley "Josh Lyman" Whitford says it clearly
