1. What Do Most People Want (on Twitter in any case)?

See the enclosed mini-thread for some comments on Tulsi Gabbard and Hinduphobia, in response to a question from @HalSear. It reminded me of something that happened about three years ago.
2. I defended Tulsi against false accusations from unscrupulous Hillary supporters. They were attacking her because she had endorsed Bernie in 2016. Well, I defended her just as I would anyone falsely accused (even Bernie, if it came to that). That endeared me to Bernie Bros.
3. They soon discovered I wasn't exactly a Bernie Bro myself, and they tapered off, which is fair enough, and quite expected. What I did not expect was how offended some of them were when they discovered I was questioning some of the wild claims from climate change nutjobs.
4. So much so, that one of them, who was quite well read and articulate in general, went off the rails, blocked me, unblocked me to accuse me of killing the planet and thereby murdering her grandchildren, and that I was no better than a genocidal monster in her eyes.
5. Ever since I have often wondered what exactly are some people looking for on social media. Quite a few are just looking for validation of some sort, and if someone has a different point of view, especially if it is someone they trusted for a while, they can fly off the handle.
6. Maybe it's just an act. Maybe it's not. But Twitter does not brook disagreement lightly. Be careful out there!
