I will forever appreciate intelligent people capable of independent thoughts & ability to understand the concept of shared objective reality. If you leave Lagos for Warri at the same time with someone leaving Ikorodu for Lekki/V/I on a weekday, chances are U’ll get to Warri 1st.
These are no theories or conjectures. I have experienced this and confirmed same quarterly in the past 10years and even a few days ago. The trends are there. You can’t normalize this with a simplistic “there are many cars in Lagos or people are too much in Lagos. #EndGoSlow 🚔
Saying this is confirming the brain drain. It simply means we are surrendering to fate. It means we have learnt nothing and are ill prepared to engage Govt to do better. My late dad in the late 70s observed even & odd number traffic load shedding in the same Lagos. #EndGoSlow 🚔

For those who have left their streets to other countries, you will hardly find traffic on a tolled road in the 21st century. But go to Ikoyi link bridge and weep for Lagos. That is the capital of traffic all round the clock even on the Island. This is unacceptable! #EndGoSlow 🚔
I have an account I simply tagged #LagosLogistics it contains expenses on @Boltapp_ng App and my personal Airport Driver. If you look into the expense you will think it is the budget for the 2nd Niger Bridge but of course it’s just the cost of commuting within LAGOS! #EndGoSlow🚔
For the ignorant/cynical thinking I was just making up spending 6hours in traffic from the Airport while my cousin landed in the UK within the travel time, think again. Warri is 6hrs by road from Lagos with light traffic. If you get to Warri before I made it to V/I do the Maths.
I deliberately dedicated one year of life to studying the commute in Lagos by taking a Masters course in Unilag. Traveling from one end of Lagos to school daily for the period was Hell. Without Okada, there weren’t any hope of graduating as you won’t even make classes.
I tried driving and waking up at odd hours. The stress was grave. I took BRT but there were limitations & still had to take bikes at some point to beat time. So taking out bikes in the Lagos commuting equation is oppressive, unfeasible & unconscionable. #EndGoSlow 🚔
There are many loud talkers but at the least give the props to those who talk and match their words with action.

My character almost had his wedding in traffic if not for the heated argument with my parent & family and forceful evacuation a day before to a nearby hotel. Even my pastors had to move a day before with the closure of the Third Mainland bridge. The food almost didn’t make it.
I’ve shared my MastersDegree ordeal with you. I wrote my last paper drenched to my bones in the bid to win time having augmented my trip with Okada which U presently no longer have access to in Lagos. I have slept in traffic till day break severally both in my car & commercially.
