A country the size of IKORODU is doing the right thing. But our ruler can’t hide his love for murderous religious fanatics. The IDP camps are overrun with no food and healthcare but there is money to rehabilitate Boko Haram and add them to our Military? Who cursed us?! 🤔

I respectfully wish to state without equivocation that it is a fundamental infringement of the rights of Armed robbers, kidnappers & other violators of our laws awaiting trial or serving jail term for numerous offenses with this executive decision to venerate & reward Terrorists.

If we are going to adopt a Reformative Agenda on societal misfits & crimes by executing the advisory that informed the turning of our erstwhile Criminal Justice System warehouse (Prisons) into Correctional Facilities, then this must be holistic in that regard without bias.

Let every criminal face the consequences of their choice instead of being rewarded. The Nigeria Corrections should then be upgraded to global standards where inmates can be rehabilitated & re-ushered into society once proven to be fit. Murderers & terrorists must face the Law.

We don’t have a country when people rot in jail for standing in front of their residence at night while terrorists get a Presidential handshake, pardon, a Ministry and grants. This simply means the supporters of this aberration want everyone to take up arms against the country.

We can fix our prisons but we can not have different laws for different people based on the sentiments and biases of the rulership. This in my learned opinion is an invitation to crisis and an attempt to abort us from the womb of democracy. We shouldn’t be pushed any further.
