This tweet is rightly getting ratio'ed because the 'both sides' thing is bad faith nonsense.

On one side: rape & death threats, doxxing, no-platforming, trying to get people fired.

On the other side: some snark

You remember this story from @LancsLive about the "Blackpool woman" with the Julie "alias John" Marshall convicted for the making more than 80,000 indecent images of children over a 14-year period
@AlessandraAster wrote to the editor and asked if they had got the sex right.

The editor said the court confirmed that Marshall is legally a woman and it would be in breach of them to call someone who is legally a woman a man
It turns out the court records show that Marshall is legally male

100 people including @KateAllenAI Director of Amnesty UK & @marthaspurrier Director of Liberty signed a letter rejecting Suzanne Moore's arguments

These are the points in Suzanne's article:
1) Against cancelling & no platforming people eg Selina Todd
2)WPUK is not a hate group
3) Sex is a material reality not a feeling

4) Female oppression is innately connected to reproduction. Women have made progress by talking about our biology
5) Transgender ideology says sex is a construct, gender is material & sex-based rights not needed

6) You either protect women’s rights as sex-based or you don’t protect them at all

What they said was markedly different than usually what the in-house counsels have to say.

Since it is often a CEO or CFO who decides who to hire as a General Counsel or Legal Head, I think this advice would be pretty important!

A nice up trending stock with good volume and momentum but ever since the beginning of 2019 volume and momentum have dropped off. A huge move down was seen after peaking at $144.40 but the Fib 0.382% has held further downside probes. .....

This stock is recent (June 2018) and data can easily become corrupted and the chart messy. Since the beginning of the year a strong trend began. #Trendlines have appeared reliable. Unfortunately the Fibs aren't effective but still attract price.

Prof Ivy Lee of Cal-State attacks the Meng detention as an example of the US violation of the rule of law. She is mistaken, at least in her legal analysis. eastasiaforum.org/2019/01/08/the…
She argues that charges against Meng violate intl law limits on extraterritorial laws. But as I've pointed out, Meng is alleged to have defrauded a US subsidiary bank. She may have even communicated with US persons in her alleged fraud. I doubt this exceeds intl law limits.
To put this another way, why does China get to prosecute Taiwanese who allegedly committed fraud from Kenya by calling people in China. Not even the US thinks that violates intl law. nation.co.ke/news/China-jai…
