1. You can’t dismiss the other 40% & the policies they care about.

If a campaign doesn’t address these facts, it welcomes the black vote in the primary but has no real intention of engaging a full fight for those same Southern states in the general election.
If past action is a predictor of future actions, the Dem nominee will not wage a fight to win Southern states. If this happens, it’ll be an act of political racism—using black voters in the primary to secure the nomination but then walking away from them in the general election.
Both Biden & Sanders need to articulate how their policies will address black people and how they will guarantee full engagement in the South during the general election.
