There are now close to 600 detected cases of #coronavirus in the United States. The true # is an order of magnitude higher. Here are some of the questions my team is working on:
1. Wuhan built 14 hospitals to address the crush of patients with #coronavirus. Eleven have already closed. What steps should the U.S. take to expand medical care? Where are the pressure points?
2. China experimented with an app that dictated whether a person should be quarantined or allowed to roam freely. Can we do something similar? What are the legal, ethical, and logistic hurdles?
3. What support does a city need that opts to restrict movement? NYC is now offering no-interest loans to small businesses that see a 25% reduction in revenue due to the pandemic. Great move. More is needed.
