2. A batch of Writ Petitions challenging the ECI's decision to audit EVM counts using VVPATs in no more than one polling station per constituency are coming for hearing. 2/n

The decision by District Judge Carlton W. Reeves is 🔥🔥🔥. There are so many historical gems in here. The decision makes it plain that access to abortion is a constitutional right.

The decision opens with "There is a lone legal question presented: does H.B. 1510 in-fringe on the Fourteenth Amendment due process rights of women? It does, unequivocally.”

Plain and simple. Yes, it does.
On procedural background, the decision notes that while the Mississippi bill accurately calculated gestation based on Last Menstrual Period (LMP), which is consistent with medical practice, others have calculated it based on conception date, which makes patients further along.
