It appears @manujosephsan did not read the CAA instead opting for biased journalism. It has nothing to do w/ Muslims. Muslims can still apply for citizenship through normal routes. It has everything to do with actual persecuted minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan

Issues I take with this article:
1/ ”BJP is bent on eliminating competition from undocumented Muslims for resources and job"
False statement, it is about helping persecuted minorities. It has nothing to do with Indian Muslims or Muslims from surrounding Islamic States.

2/ “The global prestige of the party appears to have been damaged.”
Because leftist media in India & their global parters are running a propaganda war against the Indian government. This is been going on for some time in a global axis with left governments and Islamic Nations.

2a/ It includes opposing parties like the Congress Party/AAP Party. It includes the Democrats in the United States & Bernie Sanders as well as left MSM & progressive media
3/ You brought up demonetization/Ayodhya but failed to state both were attacked by this same leftists media

4/ re CAA "The BJP has no moral defense. What defense can there be for discriminating against people, even if they are undocumented foreigners, on the basis of their religion?” It doesn't. This is a lie. They type of lie that is creating the chaos.

5/ “the amended Act is chiefly about favoring all poor Indians at the expense of undocumented Muslim immigrants” It has nothing to do with muslim immigrants, they are not persecuted by neighboring Islamic States. Normal citizenship rules apply so they can still become citizens.

6/ Why are they covering for these Islamic States & helping hide their humanitarian crimes against minority religions? Why is left media in western countries & western governments including the Democrats/Bernie Sanders covering for Islamic Nations & while lying about India?

7/ Many of these protestors and rioters do not even know what the CAA says. They are being lied to.

8/ Here is a video explains the CAA if you have a hard time understanding this simple and easy to understand amendment. Read the amendment, watch the videos and stop accepting propaganda designed to break India.

9/ Early protests/riots were about CAA, then it started getting out that they were protesting/rioting under false pretenses so they shifted to the NRC, something that isn't even tabled at the national level and kept right on protesting/rioting. About NRC:

10/ The misinformation campaign is the very root of the riots & chaos in India. Left government in India, aided by their supporters/Imams/Madrasas of the Muslim community are intentionally misleading to create chaos & discredit the democratically elected government of India.

11/ These riots in almost every case are being started by the minority Muslim community. The media is so biased, that when the “minority” muslim community pre-plans riots to happen during Trumps visit, the media blames Hindus.

12/ The Delhi riots were pre planned anti-Hindu riots. Many left media called it a pogrom, a blatant lie. They were communal riots initiated by the Muslim community to attract international attention to their false pretense. It’s bad enough the riots happened in the first place.

13/ In these riots, both Hindus & Muslims were murdered. Some of the Hindus that were killed were brutal execution style murders reminiscent of something you would expect of a terrorist group like ISIS. Both Hindu & Muslim properties were burnt.

14/ Delhi riots were not the first, This media bias has been happening since December when the CAA came into effect. Every single time, when Muslims initiated riots, the media covered for them. Be it burning buses, ripping up rail tracks, stoning police, burning property.

15/ There have been inflammatory speeches on both sides. Calls to further divide India, another partition for another Muslim State. Anti Hindu slogans & signs have been a regular part of these protests. Imams have been giving inflammatory speeches against Hindus.

16/ The question you have to ask your self is why? Why would they choose to demonize this government? Why would they choose to turn a blind eye to genuine religious persecution in neighboring Islamic States? Why are they silent in these Islamic States human rights abuses?

17/ It is time to admit truth. We keep hearing “minority” Muslim population. There are more than 200 million muslims in India. Second largest Muslim population in the world. A population equal more than 60% of the entire US population. Is that really a “minority” population?

18/ Also keep in mind, unfortunately for the muslim population as a whole in India, many of these muslims have been radicalized. Saudi has spent decades investing in Mosques/Madrasas in their efforts to spread their fundamentalist Wahhabi ideology in India.

19/ It's not a passive, peaceful group of protestors in any way. Countless videos are available documenting the violence and aggressive nature of this group. As I detailed the riots are destructive, and even police are being killed. Yet the left media is hiding all of this. Why?

20/ Make no mistake, this minority population is rising up against Hindus & they are doing it based on religion. Radical Islam has been at war with Hinduism for over 1,000 years. India has faced countless genocides of Hindus & it is continually whitewashed by the left media.
