Sanders warns that in the worse case scenario more people could lose their lives because of Coronavirus than died in World War II.
Sanders talks about being concerned about people becoming isolated because of quarantines related to the illness. He is pleading with the American public to be mindful that everyone is “in this together” and not allow that isolation to forgot the community responsibility.
Sanders calls on President Trump to declare a State of Emergency and call together a bipartisan task force of leading experts who collectively make decisions based on science.

Sanders says the U.S. is “severely disadvantaged” to confront this crisis because the government does not provide every American with health care coverage as a basic human right.

Sanders says that the Pharmaceutical industry must be compelled to offer the treatment and eventual vaccine for Coronavirus “at cost”.

BREAKING: @janeosanders just came back and told the assembled press that @BernieSanders will return to his work in the Senate in Washington after Sunday’s debate in DC.
Sanders is still continuing his campaign for president- but given the constraints put on the campaign because of Coronavirus- he has decided that it makes sense for him to go back to Washington to work in the Senate.
