NEW: Virginia House @SpeakerCox releases statement claiming House R's have reached out to the @VAHouseDems to come up with a bi-partisan path for the accusers of @LGJustinFairfax to tell their story- but Dem leaders rejected their offer.
Statement includes links to letters from Del. Rob Bell to House Dems and from Elieen Filler-Corn to Bell discussing their options.
Filler-Corn states that Dems believe the House of Delegates or any selection of legislators is NOT the "appropriate body" to hear the allegations.
Here is a link to Filler-Corn's letter. She states Dems are willing to consider "engaging an independent, third party entity to conduct a hearing."

#New PA cong. map increases D chance of winning the House majority by 4%. They only need a 6.8% generic ballot margin now (down from 7.7) to be favored.

Diff. will be closer to 10% in Nov when uncertainty from polls is ⬇️. Redraw is a very big deal.

One major reason the new PA map is such a big gain for Democrats is that it solidifies, not just tips, PA districts in Philly burbs. Also creates one additional vulnerable R district. (Easily seen in this map made by @JMilesColeman)
My forecasting model will have new PA map in the near future. This is not just a simple switch; it’s a coding redesign, restructuring of input, & drawing new geographic files. Takes a while (for me, a student).

I'm at Water's Edge Brewery in Lake Ridge, Virginia tonight. Six of the seven VA House of Delegates seats here are held by Republicans. Tonight, that may change wildly.
Those seats in Prince William County, Virginia's second most populous, are a test of the anti-Trump grassroots movements spurred on by the Democratic party and progressive groups.
Of 8 groups, like @MoveOn, @BoldProgressive and @TheDLCC, that made endorsements in VA House races, 41% of their endorsements came to six Democrats challenging Republican incumbents in this county.
