Time to share some weird-ass road trip photos
it's the "and Jewish Memorial" thing that surprised me. Never imagined people sitting shivah for an Old West gunfighter
Them Clanton Boys, who was done shot up at that there OK Corral
2 of the more famous tombstones of Tombstone. The “oops” factor makes the 2nd one funnier IMHO
*knock knock*

"Hello Mrs. Johnson? <takes off hat> You know your boy George, who got hisself into that trouble yesterday? I got some good news and bad news. The good news is he weren't no horse thief after all, and me and the boys chipped in for a nice carved apology note."
Speaking of Boot Hill, those of you who sniffed model car glue in your youth may remember this car at my pal Dave’s shop
That's Ray Fahrner's "Boot Hill Express," an injected Hemi powered 19th century hearse that became a phenomenally popular model car. He built 3 (including the one at Dave's shop) because of show car demand. The first one was actually a real wood hearse
More of Dave’s full size model car stash: real live MPC Zingers
I swear if I ever got a brain scan it would look like the inside of his shop
One of his recent restorations of crazy 1960s and 70s wild show cars: The Bathtub, which totally needs to be in a Cialis commercial
A few more porn-y show cars: the Pink Panther, with it mirrored pink fur & liquor cabinet interior, and the George Barris-built leopard skin Bed Buggy
The designer of the Pink Panther car was Ed "Newt" Newton who built it with Dan Woods in 1976 for the Pink Panther cartoon series. Started off as an Olds Toronado.
Anyhoo, these cars are all owned by Beau Boeckmann and curated/restored by Dave; there is a new Discovery / MotorTrendTV show set at this shop, debuting later this month, so set your DVRs accordingly

Also if you're anywhere near Bowling Green KY, many of Beau's cars are currently on display at the National Corvette Museum, including several priceless Ed "Big Daddy" Roth cars - like the Orbitron, about which I have written extensively

Whereas Dave is all about over-the-top 60s show cars, my pal @oldcrowspeed is all about the roaring speedways of the prewar era. This is his private sanctuary, fashioned from an old church in SoCal
Dig this circa 1932 jukebox; 12 selections, and actually works
In the annex, some more of his stash
I've mention before his ownership of Walt Disney's 1926 Moon roadster. Sad to report that is no longer true, but happy to report it now belongs to Walt Disney's granddaughter, who also owns Walt's last car (a 1965 Mercedes 230 SL)
BTW, Bobby and his 1933Group partners have restored a number of fantastic vintage bars and restaurants in and around LA, including the @IdleHour, @HLPBowl, and the @TheFormosaCafe. I highly recommend all of them.
Speaking of the Formosa, enjoyed an evening there with @BridgetPhetasy @GigiLevangie and @chriselise
all of the 1933 Group's bars are amazing, here is the lineup
