#SocialDistancingNow could be the kindest thing you could do - #flatteningthecurve could be life saving!
But it doesn’t have to mean social isolation - Here’s some ideas on how to stay social and supportive… stay kind in chalk on the pavement
Sure, some of you might be connected to your community already - great!
But if not no time like the present to start.

(#ComCom peeps are already all over this - @KezNoo @MerrynGott @CormacRussell @PHPalCare )
Drop a letter or note into neighbours letter boxes with your details and let them know how you can help.
A meal, grocery drop, loo paper, veggies from your yard, board game swap etc

Maybe you can set up a what’s app group, or street Facebook group so you can stay connected?
Help people get the stuff they need - maybe you have some already, or can get a few extra items for someone who is unable to go out.

Here's something nifty you can leave in a letter box.. #ViralKindness
Not everyone will be used to ordering online - so maybe you can sort that for them?
You can get just get stuff delivered straight to them.

Help them sort to get their prescriptions delivered maybe?
Stay connected to older relatives & families, or people far away or those who really can’t get out.
Set up a phone bank or tree so there is someone always checking in to say hi/

Can Nanna read a book over Skype or Factime to the grandkids still? Or kids do a virtual concert?
Be nice to people still working - this ain’t their fault, in fact their actions could be helping to save us all, retail workers stocking supplies, chemists, health care workers etc.

Say thank you.

Be patient.
Leave a thank you note on the door for the delivery person that’s dropping you groceries, your takeaway food or prescriptions, hand cream for someone who is washing their hands a zillion times more at the moment.
If you are an employer, make it easier for people to work remotely.

And be mindful that some people will have extra caring responsibilities so it may actually be harder to get stuff done.

Remember this:
Make it easy for people to connect online, there are numerous platforms for this - a check in for convos.

Oh yes -- make sure info gets to your neighbours who don't speak English, or don't use the web and can't find translated materials!

Even better, if you are in charge of making info - make it accessible in the 1st instance - language-wise, Easy English, Auslan etc...
