Here goes with long thread on where I am following #GE19 result

Writing as a missive directed at @MattHartley100,only as we've sparred on here many a time & you've accused me of being undemocratic etc, but could easily be writing to @BorisJohnson (not that he'd pay any attn)
I've had the immense pleasure of meeting & standing alongside countless #FBPE proEU ppl who have spend the last 3yrs fighting to #StopBrexit

We've posted, tweeted, signed petitions, held vigils, run street stalls, spoken to the public on the doorstep & marched in our millions
I did this, not bcos I don't believe in democracy, but I did not see 2016 result of advisory ref as mandate for where we'd gotten to

Whether it was non specific details of what type of exit the public wanted, lies told on both sides (easiest deal vs project fear) or law breaking

Today is possibly .@theresa_may's last day as PM, if .@BorisJohnson can command a majority (which is in some doubt...)

So it's a great opportunity to look back at some of the *highlights* of Mrs May's premiership in memes👇
13 JUL 2016: May was appointed as PM and named her Cabinet shortly thereafter, surprising many by giving 3 of the top #Brexit-related jobs to arch-brexiters Boris Johnson, David Davis & Liam Fox. Sheer folly, or genius in making them own what they'd sold? Sadly, the former😢
5 OCT 2016: With such a narrow result, the country could be forgiven for expecting May to propose a consensual solution, as Norway PM Erna Solberg had done in a similar situation. Most Remainers would've accepted #Norway.

May's #CitizensOfNowhere speech crushed all hope.

I'm #StopBrexitSteve and today I'm throwing my hat into the ring & standing for election for the European Parliament as an Independent candidate in London.
Stop Brexit Steve is launching the Campaign to Remain in the EU.
I started the anti-Brexit protest outside parliament: The Stand of Defiance European Movement (#SODEM) & it has been going since 5 Sept 2017.
The aim was to get a pro-EU message into the media and to stop the silencing of the Remain Movement who were almost entirely ignored.
The Remain Movement also appeared to lack political representation.
And so I've stood in all weathers and slowly more and more people came to join me & told me that I'd given them hope. I've always said that it’s not about me but about the message.

🇬🇧My parents came to the UK as German Jewish refugees from a so-called 'civilised' country.🇩🇪

NEVER EVER assume you won't, in some post #Brexit nightmare, find yourself forced to flee the UK , jobless, hungry, desperate, finding yourself in a refugee camp/stuck on some border!
Theresa May is minded to scrap the Human Rights Act post #Brexit
For those unaware of what the Human Rights Act actually is:
Check this out:…
Read it through carefully.
Hitler also scrapped rights for Jews, Gays, Disabled, Roma & some sects.
🇬🇧The gradual erosion of everything that makes up a civil society has been happening for many years.🇬🇧
The demonization of 'the other' is fuelled by the press, on TV & via our OWN MPs.

@IanDunt We are. Problem is distribution. We just aren't getting traction with those who have platforms.

I was an assoc. prod on a pro-EU documentary. Critics who usually review our director's films said sorry, no can do & some cinemas declined to screen it for fear of Brexiter backlash.
@IanDunt Here's one of my own small efforts:
@IanDunt There's a slower version of 101 Reasons To #Stay on Youtube, for anyone who may be interested:

I voted remain in 2016 and I was hugely disappointed by the result at first, seeing it as a victory for the right. But soon the cheap, condecending, and outright idiotic comments from remainers started rolling in and have continued ever since. They've changed my mind.
Straight away both students and lecturers at uni started asking me how the people of Merthyr, the Valleys and most of South Wales could be stupid enough to vote leave when we receive so much EU investment. This reflects their tone:…
Merthyr's people aren't stupid. We can see that most EU funding has been pissed away on cosmetic changes while industry continues to decline and our communities rot under austerity
