What has everyone being saying to elders and other loved ones that’s been effective in getting them to self-quarantine?
I started with “there’s no way going out for a cup of coffee is worth risking more time with your grandchild”. But I am somewhat shameless.
In a similar vein, my family has lost members to smallpox and polio, people who’d still be alive today if they had access to vaccines (which did exist). Making the connection that it’s about people being denied access to care, not whether care exists, that makes the difference.
