I hope the plan is better thought through than it appears. Presumably has to exclude those who live with family. Delivery services will have to prioritise over 70s. A lot of voluntary services are delivered by over 70s.
I suspect the over 70s plan won't in fact be implemented because we'll follow other countries in almost everyone self isolating for a period. And because it doesn't seem a very good plan under any great scrutiny.
I am contacted by a pensioner - "I trust you will come and see me in prison why I break the law to go shopping". Sorry, won't be able to do so, no contact will be allowed.
Irresponsible communications. Threaten to lock away all over 70s but we'll tell you more of the details later. Go back to basics, what do people need right now? Reassurance of government competence. Not reason to worry further (and yes old people are worried about this)
