Poor communication from the source (UK govt), a bad choice of words (herd immunity) and UK overwhelming number of click bait headlines have humbled my analytic skills.

Government isn’t an entity unto itself, like a person. The faces, political parties, and most importantly, the ideological basis used to make decisions, changes regularly.

The belief system behind policy decisions are important to understand. So is the starting point of each new executive branch.

Only then can one begin to assign responsibility for our fiscal reality.

Remember please.

We can not afford to turn on one another. If we are going to survive the triple threat to our existence, it requires compassion & support. Not succumbing to fear.

We must support one another to cope with the fear.
A global pandemic, climate change & opportunist conservative ideologues are counting on fear to divide us.

We must stay aligned and support one another if we want to survive all three threats.

Divided we will fall.

So, united we must stand and face our fears.
We know what the alternative to a united front will bring.

Only resolve, courage, compassion and love will defeat fear. Please find yours and share it with those who are struggling to cope with this triple threat.

There have been lingering questions over how CDC has reported its data and for a time, the agency yanked coronavirus test rate reports off of its website altogether. Yesterday, dir. Redfield vowed that CDC would restore reporting online.

might have #COVID19. I have thoroughly read the @CDC related guidelines, and I am still not entirely sure what to tell them. I know that their risk is low if they have not had contact with a known infected individual, and if they have not travelled to any number of 2/7
countries listed on the CDC website. Even as this outbreak evolves and we have more cases in more communities, the risk of serious illness with young healthy people is very low. The concern now is for the elderly and chronically ill population for whom the mortality rate 3/7

First check to see if they bothered to add any variability whatsoever in the model they are using to supposedly report actual numbers from a complex system.

The mortality rate they want you to report is the - 0 day rate: Today's Confirmed Death total minus Today's Confirmed Case total.

This has not varied outside of 1/10th of 1% in the last 5 prints.
