I received an email from a 72yr old congregant likely to end up in #coronavirus #selfisolation, with a list of things she felt would be helpful. She was happy for me to share and its so helpful to take advice from people who will be directly affected 1/
* 'Some hymns to listen to - the old ones (ones popular with us over 70s) Perhaps there'd be a web site or similar?' (I'm thinking of finding some youtube links - any other suggestions?)

* 'Other ways to keep calm, like Christian meditation websites' (thinking @prayasugo...) 2/
* 'A daily encouraging thought. Perhaps we could share around producing something, our 'Benefice, thought for the day'. Maybe you ordained people can start us off but it will be important for us to feel useful, creative and still part of things, that will help us stay well' 3/
* 'A benefice WhatsApp group to make communication between us easy'

* 'Special help for those who are carers, signposting perhaps to places to get help'

* 'Practical things like getting food into our houses. It would be important to make it easy for us to ask for help' 4/
* 'All of us praying for each other-perhaps a person specific version of our prayer book. A list of everyone who would like to be prayed for (you can opt in). We could pray for the A to Fs on a Monday, G to J on a Tuesday etc' 5/
After email convos, we also came up with a weekly newsletter that could be delivered (by those of us who can). This would include printed versions of our sermon/poems &contributions from people self-isolating so that those who can't access online can get something valuable 6/
We, @stedsandstjames, will be posting on social media regularly and possibly live-streaming, but its really helpful to have ideas for those whose online access is limited. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would love to hear them! #COVIDー19 #coronavirus #community
