Coronavirus COVID-19 Response

The Board has recommend to the MW Grand Master “that all Masonic Craft meetings within the jurisdiction cease until 30th June 2020 or until required or necessary.”

As a result of the MW Grand Master having accepted the recommendation:

1. All Lodge meetings are to be suspended until 30 June 2020.
2. During that period, regular reviews will be undertaken by the Board.
3. The April Grand Communication is deferred.
Please be advised that:

1. Freemasons' Hall will be closed to the general public until at least 30th June
2. Brethren may access to the building between 8am and 3pm via the eastern side door by calling duty caretaker
3. There will be no museum tours.
4.The Library is closed
Lodge Executives and Hall Trusts are asked to conduct ongoing business by telephone or email.

Hall Trusts are advised that Masonic premises are also unavailable for any Masonic use.
Lodge Almoners are asked to ensure that they monitor the circumstances of brethren and ensure that appropriate assistance is provided to those needing it, keeping the Grand Secretary informed.
To avoid spreading infection Brethren are asked to remember and to practice good hygiene, to avoid handshakes and close physical contact, and to remember social distancing guidelines.

If you think you may be infected you should phone your Doctor.

Younger able Brethren are asked to assist the sick and elderly by such activities as undertaking shopping etc when required (remembering to avoid contact with the sick).

The MW Grand Master has offered the use of the Freemasons Hall area to the Minister of Health as a drive-through Coronavirus Testing Station.
