1. What should Bernie do? It's a murky question but I think one way forward is to realize that the big battle going on right now is in congress, not the primaries. There are emergency programs needed right now and Sanders is uniquely positioned to shape those.
2. Bernie's base isn't enough to win him the primaries but its still substantial (a third of primary voters), important for future of party (Latinos & a plurality of those under 45). He's a big voice in the party and now is the time for using that voice.
3. The congressional Democratic leadership has been, um, less than inspiring. The emergency requires radical solutions and Sanders is best equipped to push them forward. Here's an example:
