I teach a class on public management. One pledge I made to my students when we went online is that we would talk about the coronavirus response each week as a real-life case study. But Charlie wants video if I suggest that Trump's leadership has been anything less than perfect.

The playbook is simple. Find a conservative student who says they are being brainwashed, take a clip of a professor saying something impolite, and then get the outrage machine rolling. Professor gets hate mail, and college Presidents get told to fire them.

I'm a tenured professor, so will be fine. But these targeted attacks hurt junior and adjunct faculty who could lose their jobs, and anyone who does not want to have to face torrents of abuse. The intended effect is to create a chilling effect on campus speech.

How much does Kirk support free speech? He blocked me after I wrote this thread explaining his free speech grift.
