Tik Tok is a national security threat that should only only be used to call out the Chinese government (who controls it) for their atrocities and human rights abuses.

Another reason I will not be going on there is because they censor activists voices in Hong Kong and around the world that call out the CCP for their atrocities.

I refuse to be complicit in the death of democracy in Hong Kong by supporting Tik Tok.

It could be simultaneous true that Huawei has done better than any of its competitors in closing/preventing backdoors -- and still be an intolerable national security threat due to it's backdoors used by Chinese intelligence.
I think both are true. The argument Huawei makes in its video is valid: if ever a technical backdoor were found its products, it would be an existential threat to their business. I'm sure they've done their best to close such backdoors.

We've just released the final report by @Alston_UNSR, the UN Special Rapporteur on extreme #poverty, on his visit to the #UK. The report is available here: undocs.org/A/HRC/41/39/Ad…. A few key takeaways:
Some have asked me why a UN expert on #poverty would visit the #UK. Unfortunately, although the UK is the world’s 5th largest economy, 14 million are in poverty, child poverty is rising & predicted to reach 40% by 2021, homelessness is up 60%, and food bank use has skyrocketed.
To understand #poverty in the #UK, you have to look at the massive disinvestment in social support since 2010: the end of a centralized social fund, changes to the ways benefits are capped & calculated that substantially reduce their value, the decimation of civil legal aid, etc.

✅ Omar has apologized for unintentionally using an anti-Semitic stereotype.

🚩Trump said that the tiki torch white supremacists chanting "Jews will not replace us!" were "very fine people."
Once again:

1️⃣ Israel does not represent all Jews. (They don't represent me.)

2️⃣ Criticizing Israeli abuse of Palestinian human rights is not anti-Semitic.

3️⃣ Calling out the pro-Israel lobby for helping Israel dodge accountability for human rights abuses is not anti-Semitic.
Here are the anti-Semitic lies inherent in the argument currently being made against Congresswoman Omar.
