Big Announcement by government:

- 1,70,000 cr package for the poor. PM Gareeb Kalyaan package.

- 50 Lakh medical insurance for all medical, para medical staff, asha workers, Technicians in the frontline. 20 Lakh workers to benefit.

PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojna. 80 cr beneficiaries will get 5 kg rice / wheat free for 3 months along with the 5 kg they have already been getting. 1 kg Dal will also be given. Can be taken in 2 instalments.

Cash Transfer beneficiaries: sections to benefit
- Farmers
-MNREGA workers
- Widows/ poor divyang and pensioners.
- women Jan Dhan account holders
- organised sector workers
-construction workers
-district mineral fund

Famers to get first instalment of Rs 2,000 of the annual Rs 6,000.

MNREGA wage to be increased. From Rs 182 to Rs 202. 5 cr beneficiaries.

Poor citizens/widows & divyangs to get DIrect Benefit of Transfer into their accounts.

Women Jan Dhan account holders: 20 Cr beneficiaries. To get Rs 500 per month for the next 3 months in their Jan Dhan account.

Ujjwala Yojna: 8.3 cr BPL families beneficiaries. For 3 months, they will get free cylinders.

Women Self Help Groups: 63 Lakh SHGs. 20 Lakh Rs collateral free loan. This was earlier 10 lakh Rs. This will benefit 7 Cr families.

Organised Sector: PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojana.
1.) GoI to pay EPF contribution of employer and employee for the next three months. 12+ 12 = 24 %. This is for establishments which have upto 100 employees in which 90 pc draw leas than 15,000 salary.

2.) EPFO schemes regulation will be amended. It will allow 75 pc funds of non refundable advance or 3 months wages whichever is lower. 4.8 cr workers to benefit.

Construction workers: Central govt Act has funds for welfare of such workers. 3.5 cr registered workers under this Act. Centre to direct state govts to utilise Rs 31,000 Cr fund.
