Our actions now won't be truly reflected in the data for 2-3 weeks, but that doesn't mean they aren't having an impact. We know that they are and can see trajectory in early-hit areas like Washington changing over time.
That's why it's irresponsible for press to ignore evidence that these actions have an impact and we have a chance to overcome this in a realistic time frame. If you only present Americans with a (false) doom and gloom picture, many will conclude current efforts aren't worth it.
