(1) Was reading tweets about the Twitter suspension of a perfectly fine American war veteran & MD for "wrongthink" when I noticed this account pretending not to be an antisemitic white supremacist. (They're not always both.)

Learn the signs, then block (or mute to annoy them.)

(2) If you're new to reading HW aka @godlessnz then you might not realize how virulently anti antisemitism I am.

I'm not Jewish, I've hardly met any of the 7k or so Kiwi Jews, & I've never lived in Israel or the USA.

But I'm on a mission to find & expose antisemitism.

(3) I'd bet good money that most Kiwis falsely believe President Trump is antisemitic. The actual antisemitic filth that steals oxygen from us every day hate Trump more than the NZ left does. The killer from 15 March 2019 was an example.

They hate him for NOT being antisemitic.

(4) New Zealand culture abounds with casual antisemitism. The level of self awareness is very low. In recent years NZ has had a shameful voting record at the UN when it comes to applying human rights law consistency between member states. I can only apologize on behalf of NZ.

(5) How could I tell the example in tweet (1) was a bigoted jerk?

(6) Then I saw the pinned tweet. The "reasoning" in it is used by a whole range of racist groups.

This kind literally believe that having mixed race kids is part of a global plan to "genocide" the white "race."

They believe in biological differences according to skin color.

(7) Any reasonable person knows that skin colors are different depending on melanin production as a response to sunlight levels, over a very, very long time period. And that there's no immutable differences between humans based on melanin levels in the DNA we are born with.

(8) This kind of bigot (a catchall phrase for racism and religious bigotry etc) believes in racial purity, not just by skin color, but also by parentage, just as their Austrian-born hero preached. Antisemitism attacks the Jewish people on grounds of ethnicity and/or faith.

(9) Antisemitism will never go away, but we can fight against it, to keep telling the story of the Holocaust (including all targets of it) so that we #NeverForget. That's the only way to ensure #NeverAgain.

Understanding these issues helps you apply principles to other things.

(10) IMHO the Holocaust was an event that showed the human capacity for evil on an industrial scale.

But in the stories of those who helped others, and those who survived unspeakable experiences, we see the immense human capacity for good.

(12) A couple of years ago I heard claims that Jeremy Corbyn was not enthusiastic about the UK Labour party signing up to this document:

(13) So I explored that website & learned a lot about all these issues. I am not surprised that Corbyn's Labour party was decimated in the recent election. British voters won't stand for open antisemitism. And don't even think about trying it in the USA.

I use it as a proxy.

(14) To save time, when I see antisemitism or any bigotry on that scale, I know to avoid the Twitter account. There's absolutely nothing to be gained from engaging them.

There are cube farms of paid trolls inciting division across a range of issues. And deep pockets of cash.

(15) The goal is to cause despair and unrest in the USA.

I fear the US is inching closer to the long running domestic cold war turning hot. I hope it doesn't come to that, but most Americans I know made sure they were ready long ago.

(16) So I sit here in splendid isolation from my neighbors while I wait for a pandemic to be brought under control. I worry for my friends in a number of countries, & not just about getting sick.

It's gonna be a rough year. I smell victory, though.
