With videos of stranded migrants flooding SM and TV screens, it may be difficult to say this - but overall the lock-down has been reasonably successful
Every sixth human being on the planet is an Indian - we are asking a country of 1.3b to pause their lives. We are still in Week 1 and it has been much less chaotic, violent and ill-disciplined than it could be
India is not just Anand Vihar bus adda or Kerala's border towns

The helpless stranded people we see on our screens need urgent help and support - but overall they form a tiny percentage of the whole Indian nation
Having been familiar with how lock-downs are being 'enforced' in Europe and America - it is difficult to even imagine how India has achieved what it has so far

And the results are for us to see - the number of cases are still manageable and the rate of increase still slow
Indian politicians have done well so far - did not expect that

Barring a couple of CMs, most are cooperating - compare that to the public fights going on in America
Finding problems and faults with India - is something I consider as an area of personal expertise

The pandemic crisis has been challenging that way as it has yielded so many positives about the country
Watching villages, neighborhoods, RWAs self-organise and police themselves

Young folks like @CaringIndians come together to provide solutions instead of complaining

We usually do not get to see these things during normal life
I have not shutdown the lives of a billion people before. I don't think anyone has either. There is no 'ideal' way to do it

Only thing which matters is the infection rate

Because I can also give you a 100 ways how the moon landing should have gone better - does that help?
