.@RepAdamSchiff just told @Lawrence that Democrats will likely propose waiting to stand up their proposed 9/11-style coronavirus commission until after the election. I can't say I'm surprised at this point but that's just completely unacceptable.
A commission requires legislation. Republicans will never agree to it, even if Democrats agree to punt accountability until after people vote. Pelosi could announce she intends to launch a special committee tomorrow.
A special committee could help the public get a handle on what intelligence analysts told Trump back in January when he was taking Xi's word over theirs–and before Americans have to cast their ballots, not after.
