The number of corona patients in hospitals in the most populous federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia is increasing sharply.
According to figures from the state government on Friday, around 1420 patients with Covid-19 are currently being treated as inpatients - a week ago it was 950, a month ago around 320. Currently, 275 patients are in the intensive care unit, 148 of them would have to be ventilated.
According to the information, the clinics are still far from their capacity limits. There are currently around 5640 intensive care beds in which the patients can also be ventilated, 1320 of which are currently not occupied.
At the peak of the pandemic so far in mid-April, more than 2,100 corona patients were treated at the same time in the NRW hospitals, and almost 600 had to be ventilated at the peak.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Saturday that it will provide 2 million U.S. dollars in aid for Iraq to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, as the Iraqi Health Ministry reported 3,204 new cases in the country.
Wael Hatahit, head of the WHO's emergency team in Iraq, said in a press release that WHO will provide medical assistance for Iraq during the last months of this year to support the country's health sector in confronting the coronavirus pandemic.
The Iraqi Health Ministry reported 3,204 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, raising nationwide infections to 449,153.

If you ask me about the normalization of ties between Israel and Saudi Arabia I would say it isnt only because already longer good secret relations. But its this time that Saudi Arabia could profit alot. One reasone for that is SA worsening financial situation.
A while ago citizen didnt payed any or less taxes, 60% of all workers in Saudi Arabia are working for the state (meanwhile there is a employment ban), and worst of all the price decline of the black gold. Saudi Arabias ecconomie actual depends heavly on it.
