1/14 Morning @SophyRidgeSky, just watched the interviews w/ @DominicRaab @annelongfield @timspector & @bphillipsonMP re #schoolsreopening fully on 8th Mar.

Discussions focused on dates, primary vs secondary, catch up plans, mental health concerns, vulnerable children....

2/But NOT A SINGLE MENTION OF #coronavirus MITIGATION INSIDE SCHOOLS!

Has the MSM been banned from mentioning mitigation measures?
Are British children/teaching staff different to those across the world?
Do they have SPECIAL IMMUNE SYSTEMS?

3/NO FIGURES on how many children get #COVID19?
NO MENTION of how many become seriously ill, are hospitalised or die?
Absolutely NO WORD about the 1 in 7 or 8 children who get #LongCovid!
NO ADVICE for parents of children w/ diseases like Diabetes, severe Asthma etc.

4/The ONLY reference to teachers/staff was about #vaccination & none whatsoever about parents who may be CV or CEV.

This is an #airborne virus with the potential to kill or cause long term debilitating symptoms.

THE SILENCE ON MITIGATION IS DEAFENING!

5/ #COVIDisAirborne -

HOW schools can open SAFELY in the next 2W?

HOW will schools protect children, staff & families from the highly transmissible #CovidVariants which worryingly appear to be MORE LETHAL?

6/ #COVIDisAirborne -

WHY can’t British school children >6 yrs & ALL staff #WearAMask in ALL INDOOR AREAS ALL DAY?

HOW #ventilation is going to be improved in school & nursery buildings to improve air circulation?

HOW pupils will socially distance in FULL Classrooms?

7/ WHAT will happen if cases in #schools take off again, as they did between Sept & Dec?
Any plans need to be SAFE & SUSTAINABLE, to avoid further partial closures.

#COVIDisAirborne - IF NOTHING INTERNAL CHANGES, we can expect a RISE in cases, both PREDICTABLE & AVOIDABLE!

8/ EVERY INTERVIEW should focus on the fact that #COVIDisAirborne & what we can do to reduce transmission.

Hand washing & sitting in rows facing forwards will do little to stop transmission when ppl are breathing the same air for any period of time.

9/ @IndependentSage @ReicherStephen have produced clear, pragmatic plans for a phased return to fully open schools & early years settings.

The @NEU has published a clear Education Recovery Plan.

Have ministers read them? Has anyone asked them?

10/ If the British MSM doesn’t challenge the spin from government & school leaders et al, it is complicit in what will inevitably follow, more cases, hospitalisations, deaths & #LongCovid.

The #COVIDVaccination rollout is wonderful but it’s far too early for it to prevent that.

11/ The public need (& deserve) the MSM to ask these questions & challenge the ridiculous notion that SCHOOLS ARE SAFE!

The whole school & #earlyyears community need you to do it NOW, before all schools fully open again.

ANY discussion re fully #schools MUST involve clinicians as well as scientists/modellers & politicians.
