① The #EUreferendum was undemocratic. Many people directly affected were denied a vote.

Citizens living in the UK from over 70 nations could vote in the EU referendum, but most citizens living here from the rest of the #EU could not.
② Including Britain, 55 countries across the world are members of the #Commonwealth, and all citizens from those countries resident with ‘leave-to-remain’ in the UK were granted a vote the #EUreferendum.

They included citizens living here from Australia, Canada, Ghana, India..
③ Just two #EU countries are members of the #Commonwealth, #Malta and #Cyprus, and citizens from those countries resident in the UK were able to vote in the #EUreferendum.
④ In addition, citizens living in the UK from 15 ‘British Overseas Territories’ could also have a say on Britain’s future in Europe, including those from Anguilla, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Montserrat.

Residents of #Gibraltar were also able to vote in the #EUReferendum.
⑤ Citizens of the British Crown Dependents of the Isle of Man and the Channel Island who live in the United Kingdom also had a vote.

And as a result of a special treaty signed between Britain and #Ireland, Irish citizens living in the UK could also vote in the referendum.
⑥ BUT citizens from 24 #EU countries who made Britain their home, who resided here, worked here and paid pay taxes here, and many of whom had created families here, were denied a vote on whether Britain would remain an EU member, even though the decision directly affected them.
⑦ Many of those #EU citizens who were denied a vote in the #EUreferendum had been living in Britain for over 30 years.
⑧ In addition, Britons who’d lived abroad for more than 15 years were denied a vote in the referendum.

That’s despite the Conservative’s 2015 manifesto promise to scrap the ’15-year rule’ and give all Britons living abroad ‘Votes for Life’.
⑨ Many Britons living abroad were excluded from the #EUeferendum, even though for those living and working across the EU, the result directly affected them.
⑩ In addition, it’s claimed that thousands of Britons living abroad who were eligible to vote in the #EUreferendum were denied participation due to ‘missing postal votes.’

⑪ Highlighted in this Twitter thread are just a few of the MANY flaws in the #EUreferendum. Can anyone truly claim it was a fair or democratic vote? (ENDS)

① THE TRUTH ABOUT MIGRATION: Britain has more jobs than Britons to fill them. That, in a nutshell, is why we need migrants and millions of them.
② The country has a chronic skills shortage and without migrants helping to fill that gap, Britain – and Britons – would be poorer.
③ Currently, Britain has around 860,000 job vacancies, but not enough skilled - or low-skilled - Britons to do them all.

Business Secretary @KwasiKwarteng admitted that the UK signed the #NorthernIrelandprotocol of the #Brexit deal without having any idea how it would work out. Watch and share this 1½-minute video. Discussion on Facebook: bit.ly/3BvNaR6 LinkedIn: bit.ly/2V8Krw0
On Sky News, Business Secretary @KwasiKwarteng said

“With the #NorthernIrelandprotocol, obviously nobody had any idea the actual effects of it until we left the #EU"

He added that the government now realises that the deal is not satisfactory “as it is” and wants to renegotiate
Even though the #Brexit deal has only been in operation since 1 January, Business Secretary @KwasiKwarteng said:

“The #NorthernIrelandprotocol isn’t written in stone. It’s not something that was going to last forever more. Everybody realised at the time.”

Lord @DavidGHFrost isn’t happy with the #NorthernIrelandProtocol that HE negotiated. He wants to “return to normal”. Isn’t #EU membership “normal”? That avoided ALL the problems Frosty is griping about and it's what he supported BEFORE the #EUReferendum. Watch ½-minute video.
Before the #EUreferendum, the then Mr @DavidGHFrost strongly supported the case for Britain to REMAIN in the #EU. He said then AGAINST #Brexit: “Even the best-case outcome can’t be as good as what we have now.”
As for the UK going it alone, @DavidGHFrost said BEFORE the #EUreferendum:

“The more independent your national trade policy is, the more difficult it is to negotiate completely barrier-free access to any other country.”

Yesterday, during a mammoth BBC TV interview, #DominicCummings said that anyone who was sure that #Brexit was a good idea had a screw loose. And then he went on to say that he thought Brexit was a good idea and was pleased that it had happened. Watch and share 1-minute video.
This time last year, #DominicCummings told an unbelieving nation that during the #Covid #lockdown he went for a drive just so he could test his #eyesight. Many of us then thought something was missing. Now we can be sure.
#DominicCummings had a lot to say for himself. But one question #LauraKuenssberg didn’t ask him is if he supports #democracy. Obviously, he doesn’t. He thinks it’s in his gift and power, not ours, not Parliament’s, to make or break, appoint or unappoint, a Prime Minister.

With the introduction of a more efficient ‘Single European Sky’, the #EuropeanParliament (@Europarl_EN) wants to make #EU #airspace and the #aviation sector greener, more resilient, and fairer to consumers. (2-minute video)

Sadly, Britain is not part of this initiative.
We were told that #Brexit would mean more sovereignty. But as it turns out, it means less.

We no longer have any say in the running and future direction of our continent, even though the decisions made will affect us, whether we're a member or not.
The bottom line is that #Brexit makes absolutely no sense. It offers no solutions, no benefits, only damaging downsides.

Britain has more job #vacancies than can be filled by the native workforce. That, in a nutshell, is why we need #migrants and millions of them. #Brexit was a con. Watch this 1½-minute video. Read my report on Facebook: bit.ly/3jutvuf LinkedIn: bit.ly/3hjBHLf
It's not just vacancies. Britain has more JOBS than Britons to do them. That's why we need millions of migrants. It really is that simple. Why else would the government offer 3 million Hong Kong citizens the right to come to the UK? Leave voters were misled... big time.
Our country has an ageing population, and a low birth rate. So, the truth is that we have to import young people and skilled (and many unskilled) people to do the jobs that we don’t have enough Britons to fill. The government, of course, knows this only too well.
