2/ The Yet Kieu is designed to rescue submarines & surface ships, survey the seabed & search & recover undersea objects.

Built by the #Vietnamese 189 military owned shipyard.

It measures 94m long x 16m wide and has a displacement of 4,000 tons.
3/ The Republic of #Singapore Navy (RSN) operates the MV Swift Rescue, submarine support & rescue vessel (SSRV).

It is equipped with the deep-submergence rescue vehicle Deep Search and Rescue Six (DSAR 6)

Displacement: 4,290 tons
Length: 85 m

4/ The Royal #Malaysian Navy has the MV Mega Bakti sub rescue ship

The ship has double lock decompression chamber (DDC), global positioning system intelligent buoy tracking system (GIB) & remote-operated vehicle (ROV)

Commissioned on 2013
Displacement:1960 tons. Length of 80m
5/ #Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force has 2 submarine rescue ships

JS Chihaya (ASR-403): Commissioned on March 2000. Displacement of 7,000 tons at full load & length of 128 m

JS Chiyoda (ASR-404): Commissioned on March 2018. Displacement of 7,214 tons & length of 128.0 m
6/ #China's Navy #PLAN has 3 of the Type 925 Dajiang Class submarine support ship

Each ship is equipped with 2 Type 7103 DSRV class Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicles

They were commissioned in the 1970s
Displacement: 10,087 tons
Length: 156 m
Speed: 20 knots
7/ #China's Navy #PLAN also has 3 of the Type 926 Dalao Class submarine support ship

1 ship has the LR-7 DSRV Rescue Vehicle from the #UK, can dive to 300m

2 ships have the Type 7103 DSRV or later models

8/ #SouthKorea's Navy has one Cheonghaejin-class submarine rescue ship (ASR 21)

#China's crackdown against #Tibetans intensifies.

A new report revealed for the first time that four monks were sentenced up to 20 years in prison on unknown charges.

2/ The 61-page report by Human Rights Watch found four monks from Tengdro monastery in Tingri county – Choegyal Wangpo, Lobsang Jinpa, Norbu Dondrup, and Ngawang Yeshe – were sentenced to 20, 19, 17, and five years respectively in September 2020.
3/ They were detained after police received a lost phone belonging to Choegyal Wangpo in 2019.

His phone revealed messages sent to exiled monks in a sister monastery in Nepal, and evidence of humanitarian donations following the 2015 earthquake.

#China magazine publishes article detailing 3 stage attack on #Taiwan

The first stage of an assault on Taiwan is ballistic missile attacks. The second stage includes cruise missile attacks. The 3rd round is artillery strikes from land-based rocket forces.

#India deployed another 50,000 troops to its disputed border with #China amid high tension

Over the last 3 months, India has dispatched soldiers & fighter jets to the border, bringing its total up to 200,000 troops, an increase of 40% on last year.
